Geez! What if you need to use your hands to break a fall or something but they're stuck on the handlebars??
Ingenious, bit who uses them? Is it only the old ladies that run you over on the sidewalks like in Japan?
I think they're for all purpose use - I didn't notice a particular trend towards grannies on sidewalks.
