Last weekend I took a short trip to Sanya on the island of Hainan (aka Chinese Hawaii) in the South China Sea. Its only about an hour or two's flight from Hong Kong. You can read all about it here. Notable features of the island were (1) the airport has two large light up pineapples on its roof and (2) it ruled. See below.
