I think the title of this post pretty much says it all but for some reason I was fascinated by the number of different colored phones in the Reunification Palace in Vietnam. Can you just imagine Diem in the palace saying "Quick - get me the pink phone! My cuticles look horrendous!"

Back in Soviet times, multiline phones were extremely rare or nonexistant. So one would show off how important they were by how many telephones they had on their desk. Just like in Vietnam!
You should get a bunch of phones and put them on your desk at work. You will gain much respect from your co-workers, who will immediately sense your rising importance.
