Did you ever wonder what it was like to live with a raw foodist, a judgmental hippie WHO DOESN'T EVEN LIKE BURRITOS and his servants in a gigantic, beautiful villa overlooking rice paddies in the cultural heart of Bali? Did you ever wonder why Michelle Rodriguez only plays one character...badly...and is basically the most annoying human on earth...but somehow continues to be famous?
Me too. But given my current location and resources, I was only able to investigate the former. This is what it was like:
Speaking of rice paddies, I still am not really clear on how rice is grown, but I do know this: it requires a lot of water, hot weather, a lot of manual labor and a pointy straw hat. And the fields are pretty and green. And sometimes when you are looking at them while driving along a random rural road in Cambodia you miraculously see your friends from Oregon. But that's another story.
Here we are standing in front of a rice paddy made for tourists. Our driver Madeh took us here in the course of taking us to only places that were made for tourists.
Here are some other places we went while in Ubud.
