Happy Holidays, Post-Columbus Day Edition

As a late Columbus Day present for all you gringos out there, I've decided to share with you the magic of the Tai Hang Fire Dragon dance, which occurs in Hong Kong during Mid-Autumn Festival, which if you are paying attention you know was two weeks ago.

Basically this event involves taking a giant piece of rolled up hay (or something), and covering it with a million kajillion lighted incense sticks and then torturing small children resident in Tai Hang until they agree to carry it around whilst avoiding combustion. Its actually pretty cool...especially since at any moment the entire city could go up in flames. According to the history of the dance, it also wards off the plague, which is more than I can say for the electric slide.
