These monkeys remind me of a Mark Twain story, to wit:
Twain was staying in a palace in India in the early-20th, and one night two monkeys (similar to those featured here) climbed into his room through an open window. One monkey grasped Twain's hairbrush and proceeded to brush its hair. The other monkey stood over some notes Twain had written that day and began to cry. Recounting these events Twain said he really liked the monkey with the hairbrush, but the conduct of the other monkey distrubed him a great deal and continued to disturb him for some time.
